To the Store Engagement & Presence Team within product Area Core Customer Assets in Customer Domain, we are looking for a Technical Engineer with solid leadership skills and good technical knowledge within our products. The team are a mix of Software and Technical Engineers and we are working in our first PI on the exiting journey to set the scope for our team.
You will be responsible for a variety of activities cross our different products located in our stores, following the whole chain for DevOps. The products our team are responsible for is Music, Visitor Counter, digital signage and Tablets in Store. Important skills for this role is to have a wide technical experience and be able to manage several vendors since we buy al current services.
You will take an important role in our goal to decrease our footprint and increase efficiency in our stores globally. We have an old HW setup and need to secure a futureproof design without adding HW or cost.
Furthermore, you will:
- Develop and secure our delivery within Visitor counter and investigate to develop analytics in Store.
- Secure a solid music delivery in Store.
- Take an important part in Vendor management
- Secure the product Tablet and transition from iOS to Android solution for Tablets and hand over to another team.We are looking for you who are prestigeless, have an open mindset and have a large willingness to contribute and can think outside the box. Other important personal skills needed in this role is to act as an entrepreneur and be creative in your way of working.
As a team we are building new services that we own and run. We are fully responsible for the whole development cycle, design, build, test, deploy, evaluate and repeat. The mindset "You build it - you run it" are key for us. We are measured on business outcome, not code merge or defects.

Your mindset & skills
As a Technical Engineer at H&M Business Tech you will embark on a journey that will lead to something new and exciting - we will test, fail and learn. You are an important player in this transformation, and so we believe you are communicative, have a "You build it you run it" mindset and able to work in an environment that is not yet formalized. You have previous experience from working in companies with many stakeholders, you have worked with distributed teams, and you know how to translate business requirements and visualize technical roadmaps. Beneficial to have experience with customer facing sites, ideally retail and ecommerce. Ideal if there's experience with large enterprises solutions.
We also believe that you:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field
- Have 10 years of experience working with Technical solutions
- Understands the global delivery
- Have strong communication skills with different Stakeholders, all from Technical to Businesspeople
- Have experience with building Azure Environment
