As Head of Application & Integration you are passionate about ensuring all H&M Group colleagues have consistent, high-quality service. You will lead the operations of Application & Integration of the area, thereby maintaining a core high-quality technology service to the H&M Group business. This includes scaling down and phasing out legacy application/technology over time, as well as re-engineering/transforming as necessary. Ensuring stable operations, high quality service and a pushing for automation & efficiency will be among your key objectives. You will work in close relationship with numerous other areas/functions as well as with our suppliers/partners and stakeholder

As Head of API COE your responsibilities will includes but not be limited to: 

  • Ensuring stable and efficient operations, ensuring business continuity  
  • Create the strategy for deploying and maintaining a state-of-the-art API & Event Platforms, thereby providing a core high-quality technology service to the H&M Group business 
  • Driving automation and efficiencies in operations, while delivering short incident resolution times  
  • Responsible for tracking monthly spend, creating a strategy to continuously optimize the run cost whilst maintaining the best levels of quality, fit for the business  
  • Accountable for a collaboration strategy is implemented for all stakeholders (operational, tactical and strategical)  
  • Accountable to ensure that the area strategy and roadmap is aligned with Business Tech technology strategy and roadmap
  • Ensure assigned teams understand the overall direction, vision, delivery process and responsibilities for any given initiative
  • Lead, coach and develop members of the area, promoting best practice in Service Operation and continually benchmarking against industry standards
  • Formal staff responsibility, including salary review, performance dialogues and support in individual development plans and competence needs.  



We believe you have 10+ years of experience in maintaining an API Platform & Event/Mesh platform in a multi-cloud setup, deep understanding of Cloud based API technology, cloud based Event technology and integration services (such as Azure, GCP, cloud PaaS and integration services)

  • Extensive experience managing enterprise applications for employees, processes, and vendors.  
  • Deep experience with vendor management, including demonstrating success in conducting RFPs and vendor service transitions.  
  • Proven ability to create business cases and ensure support from C-level executives and business partners.  
  • Drive and resolve in overcoming challenges and seeking new innovative solutions.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences.  
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of IT Operations & Development, IT Service Management and experience of process-and service-oriented delivery models.  
  • Experience in planning application portfolio in various dimensions of requirements, technology, cost, value, rationalization.
  • Experience in modern application architecture and digital thinking including domain driven design, APIs, microservices, and component level application design on cloud.
  • Deep experience running 24/7 high-availability operations on a large scale

  • Running and leading application/infrastructure teams and functions  
  • Area specific skills & abilities and functional knowledge  
  • Transformation management  
  • DevOps and agile methodology  
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)  
  • ITIL - Advanced, Certification preferred
